Khyber water reservoir

ACH were engaged to investigate cracking and the corners of the Khyber water reservoir, for Watercare Services. The cracking of the concrete had become so severe it posed a Health and Safety risk and required urgent attention. A review of the structural drawings held by Watercare and site investigations showed that differential thermal movement had resulted in unexpected forces at the corner of the reservoir, causing the concrete to spall. Remedial details were provided and constructed eliminating any further risk.
